Baltic Assembly Basketball tournament

The Basketball tournament of the Baltic Assembly is organised since 2006. Main aim of the tournament is to support and strengthen the cooperation between parliamentarians of the Baltic States, popularise physical activities and healthy lifestyle in society.

Regulations

The first Basketball tournament of the Baltic Assembly took place on 27-28 April 2006 in Riga, Latvia.

-       The 2^nd Basketball tournament: 19 - 20 October 2007 in Šauliai, Lithuania.

-       The 3^rd Basketball tournament: 6 - 7 June 2008 in Kuressaare, Estonia.

-       The 4^th Basketball tournament: 3 - 4 April 2009 in Rakvere, Estonia.

-       The 5^th Basketball tournament: 20 - 21 March 2010 in Cēsis, Latvia.

-       The 6^th Basketball tournament: 22 - 23 September 2011 in Viljandi, Estonia.

-       The 7^th Basketball tournament: 20 - 23 September 2012 in Druskininkai, Lithuania.

-       The 8^th Basketball tournament: 13 September 2013 September 2013 in Liepāja, Latvia.

-       The 9^th Basketball tournament: 12 September 2014 in Võru, Estonia.

-       The 10^th Basketball tournament: 25 September 2015 in Palanga, Lithuania.

-       The 11^th Basketball tournament: 2 June 2017 in Pärnu, Estonia.

-      The 12^th Basketball tournament: 25 May 2018 in Naisiai, Lithuania.

-      The 13^th Basketball tournament: 10 May 2019 in Jelgava, Latvia.

The 14^th Basketball tournament was cancelled due to COVID-19. The next tournament will take place on 6 - 7 May in Lithuania.

In 2006 Lithuanian parliamentarians won the Cup of the Basketball tournament. From 2007 until 2018 Estonian team of parliamentarians have won the Cup of Basketball tournament. In 2019, the winner of the Basketball tournament was the team of the Parliament of Latvia.
